Self-portrait – taken from a photo of me slouching past the camera (about 7 years ago). No real likeness, but I think something of me is there. Oil pastels (blended and scraped in the background) and ink.

  1. This has impact! The composition that goes to the right, the facial expression that makes you wonder, and the background texture that moves off towards the upper right, all it combines together in a striking way. Well done!

    1. Thanks, Morris – I’m trying to use up old art supplies – I have oil pastels that used to be Margaret’s – decades old! I don’t find them easy to use, so there’s been a lot of blending and scraping (and throwing things out)!
